Lagoona Sunset

We liked the location of the hotel in Maafushi as it's facing the ocean and very close to the pier, restaurants and shops, etc. Likewise, the staff were nice and tried their best to make our stay brilliant. Someone as well was waiting for us at the pier and he helped us with our luggage. They also accommodated our request to store our luggage for a few days when we had to go to a different island, without charging us compared to other hotels. And because they were fully-booked when we wanted to come back, they still helped us transfer our luggage from their hotel to the other hotel (which the other hotel had a totally different service from Lagoona Sunset). The room as well was spacious enough and had a decent bathroom with hot water, AC was working very well and bed was also big and comfortable. They also serve good breakfast which was a plus, and there was a restaurant outside. Wifi was great too! I had online class when I was travelling so it was important that internet connection was strong and Lagoona Sunset was great with their Wifi connection. Although some staff didn't speak English much, they were accommodating, helpful and friendly. We felt safe and happy staying at Lagoona Sunset and would definitely recommend the place to others, too! =)

We had only planned to spend 2 nights at Lagoona Sunset, but we enjoyed our stay so much we ended up staying for a week. The room was clean and the bed was reallly comfortable! The island of Maafushi is very small so everything is really only a stone's throw away. What really makes this place though is the staff. Ahmed, the manager is so kind, warm and welcoming. He and his staff met us at the port and took our bags to the hotel. He enthusiastically answered all of our questions, from info re tours to bigger questions about Maldivan life. He was always available and you just got the sense he expected nothing in return. The team Lagoona Sunset made Maafushi seem like home. If we are fortunate enough to come back to this beautiful island, we know where we will stay. I recommend this place unreservedly. Thank you so much!

The excellent service from Ahmed and his team, they are very welcoming, warm with big smiles and always ready to help you. They even pick us up at the jetty even we arrived around 9pm and offered to bring our luggages. We were also given a welcoming drink while checking in. Also, they put 'happy honeymoon' in our bed which is really nice.. The hotel caters your basic needs and offers a decent breakfast. They clean everyday and makes sure your room is tidy everytime you come back after roaming around. There is kettle and hair dryer inside your room. You got a drying rack in the balcony and bidet is available in your toilet. The location is very near to the port, to restaurants and situated on a non crowded are so you don't hear noise when you want to sleep well at night. It's budget friendly and a total deal!

Nice bright, modern and clean room with everything you need for your stay. Provided coffee in the room, beach towels, shampoo etc. Very comfortable. Location was great- right near the jetty and our favorite restaurant- Tandoori flames. We booked the ferry to Maafushi through them and they met us at the ferry jetty and brought our suitcases for us. Also on the return they brought our suitcases to the terminal. Nice varied breakfast each morning. Staff were lovely!
